First Anniversary!

For our first anniversary, Matt and I headed down to Boston for a few days. We had such a great time sightseeing and enjoying the nice weather. We loved the city!

My husband the scholar....

Cooling off one afternoon down by the river.

On Father's Day they opened Fenway Park for people to come in and walk around the field. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Mount Carleton

Matt and I headed to Mount Carleton on July 7-9. We were going to be attending a friend's wedding close by (Lindsay Ashworth -a friend of Matt's from UNB), so we decided to make a weekend of it and go camping and hiking. We climbed the mountain Saturday morning and had a wonderful time!

It was our first time camping by ourselves, and we learned that it's important to have a camping list and then to bring EVERYTHING on it!

Wow -I am such a lucky lady!!!!

Four Wheeling

On Canada Day weekend, Matt and I headed over to Fredericton to see family. Matt spent the day four-wheeling with his dad and Peter, while I enjoyed spending time with my family.

This was Matt's first time four-wheeling and he had a blast!

Our Wedding Day -June 18, 2005

Here are a few highlight pictures from our wedding day. Even though it was over a year ago now, Matt wanted me to share some wedding pictures for those of you who haven't seen them yet!

For those of you who have seen them now a few times, enjoy again!

First Year of Marriage

Hi Everybody!
Here are a few pictures highlighting our first year of marriage together here in the Miramichi -we made a lot of memories for sure!

This is our very first meal in our house on July 1, 2005.
Many thanks to Chris and Nancy Lange for our first table and chairs!

Gift Opening at Grammie Esson's July 2005

Matt and I love camping. Last summer we got to go camping with my parents -the camping professionals!

Camping with mom and dad is the best!

At Jeff Callaghan's wedding August 2005

Matt had to work over in Fredericton (about 2 hours away) for almost 10 weeks Mon. -Fri. last August/September. I got over there to stay with him as much as I could in August. Once school started though we learned that absence makes the heart grow fonder!!!

Our First Christmas
This picture was taken at Matt's mom's early on in December.

Matt and I hunted for our first Christmas tree together in the woods -definitely an adventure!

How about this one honey?

The finished product....looks a little bit like Charlie Brown's -hee hee!

Valentine's Day February 2006

The last weekend in Febrauary, Matt and I headed to Halifax for the "Jesus to the Nations" conference. We were so happy that we were able to meet up with the Kohler's and Sarah Marsh for breakfast one morning. Dee and Sarah and I had a great time catching up!

Oh no -our first tax time as a married couple -why didn't they cover how to deal with this in pre-marriage counseling?

We were glad to have Matt's mom come for a visit after her time in Florida this winter.

Matt had the opportunity to speak at our church in May. Both of our families were able to come and share in his special day.

Still looking pretty good for an old married guy...

Our first barbeque!! June 2006

Matt became quite the handy man last summer and throughout the fall as he worked on various projects around the house. He refinished my Grandpa Fox's desk and also built a set of bookshelves for his study. If you know Matt, you know that both are being WELL USED almost every day!

We love a big breakfast on Saturday mornings!
