Family

It was so wonderful to have Jen and Eric and their kids come to visit for 2 weeks. We had a lot of fun together and of course, the boys LOVED meeting their newest little cousin!

It's funny looking at these pictures from just a month ago -Caleb is growing and changing so much! He just got his first immunization needles last week and weighed 13.8 pounds at that appt. He is smiling and "talking" to us more now. He's such a joy to us!

Caleb's New Life!

Finally -time to post!

Life has been revolving around our sweet little son lately. He is such a joy and a challenge to us, but of course, we love him all the same!

He is now 7 and a half weeks old and going through some eating changes...some good -slept last night from 9:30pm until 4am!!!...some not so good(?) -went two times today only eating every 4-5 hours instead of 3 -worried poor mommy! Trying to establish any kind of routine is a little tough right now. 'sigh' We'll try again tomorrow! :0)

He weighed 12.9 pounds at the doctor this week and has grown 2 more inches since birth. He is starting to smile and talk to us daily and his favorite activity would have to be his bath. Even though from the pictures below, you might think it's sleeping!

Our little pharaoh getting ready for bath time.

Jen and Eric and the boys also visited for 2 weeks -that will be our next post! God Bless!

Adjusting...

We are enjoying life at home! Caleb is doing great -he is sleeping and eating well. He certainly gives us a run for our money some nights, but we love him so much and have been having a lot of fun getting to know one another!

Here are some shots from the past couple of weeks.

Have you ever...

had a little job that you knew you had to (like update your blog), but just couldn't get to it because...
  • your part time working life suddenly went to full time and you spend your days with little first graders and your evenings laid out on the couch?
  • every weekend seemed to be consumed with a new Beth Moore study at church, prenatal classes, and getting ready for a new baby to come?
  • church activities seem to be increasing rather than decreasing?
  • your hubby is working late and leaving early, so you want to spend as much time with him as possible when he's home?
  • your computer is being SO slow lately it actually physically hurts to sit in front of it?
  • it's way cooler to watch your belly ripple and get poked from the inside out?
  • you are starting to feel HUGE and taking a picture is last thing on your mind? :0)
Do those excuses get me off the hook?

34 1/2 weeks!!!!!! Getting closer to meeting little baby Esson...

Update!

I apologize for the delay in getting up some new pictures. Matt was away in Vegas last week for business and had the camera with him!

This past weekend, we had a FAST get-away for the two of us to do some baby shopping. We stayed in a nice hotel and then hit the stores searching for the perfect stroller and infant carrier combo. We were successful and are so glad that we can bring the baby home now!
I also got a few new maternity clothes and had a great time catching up with another mommy -Sarah Marsh! Matt was happy to let me go shopping with her while he got some reading in :0)

We had a nice weekend away -our last one that will be just the two of us for awhile!

27 weeks! Growing, growing, growing...

Look who turned 30 last week!!!!!!!!!!!

Our hotel room -we got upgraded to a 2-story suite when we got there. A real treat!!!

Our great baby finds -on a huge sale!!!!!!! Thank you Sears!!!!

February in the Miramichi

We have definitely been experiencing WINTER here the past couple of months. There have been at least 10 snow days from school and it seems on average now that we get a big storm with about 30 cm of snow every week!

Here is the end of our driveway

Matt had to go on the other side of the deck to clear out the dryer vent for me -here he is on top of the snow on our deck. Unreal!

Valentine's Day -awwwwwww!

We spent a weekend at Crabbe Mt. with some of our small group. They got a great day of skiing in. No skiing for Baby Esson though!

The guys got pretty serious about the hockey game up there -you can't tell by their faces can you? :0)

We had another ultrasound this week -everything is going well. I can't believe we're into our 6th month already!!!!! Baby was sleeping during picture time and hardly moved at all!

(If you are wondering, nope, we still don't know!)
