Have you ever...

had a little job that you knew you had to (like update your blog), but just couldn't get to it because...
  • your part time working life suddenly went to full time and you spend your days with little first graders and your evenings laid out on the couch?
  • every weekend seemed to be consumed with a new Beth Moore study at church, prenatal classes, and getting ready for a new baby to come?
  • church activities seem to be increasing rather than decreasing?
  • your hubby is working late and leaving early, so you want to spend as much time with him as possible when he's home?
  • your computer is being SO slow lately it actually physically hurts to sit in front of it?
  • it's way cooler to watch your belly ripple and get poked from the inside out?
  • you are starting to feel HUGE and taking a picture is last thing on your mind? :0)
Do those excuses get me off the hook?

34 1/2 weeks!!!!!! Getting closer to meeting little baby Esson...

Update!

I apologize for the delay in getting up some new pictures. Matt was away in Vegas last week for business and had the camera with him!

This past weekend, we had a FAST get-away for the two of us to do some baby shopping. We stayed in a nice hotel and then hit the stores searching for the perfect stroller and infant carrier combo. We were successful and are so glad that we can bring the baby home now!
I also got a few new maternity clothes and had a great time catching up with another mommy -Sarah Marsh! Matt was happy to let me go shopping with her while he got some reading in :0)

We had a nice weekend away -our last one that will be just the two of us for awhile!

27 weeks! Growing, growing, growing...

Look who turned 30 last week!!!!!!!!!!!

Our hotel room -we got upgraded to a 2-story suite when we got there. A real treat!!!

Our great baby finds -on a huge sale!!!!!!! Thank you Sears!!!!

February in the Miramichi

We have definitely been experiencing WINTER here the past couple of months. There have been at least 10 snow days from school and it seems on average now that we get a big storm with about 30 cm of snow every week!

Here is the end of our driveway

Matt had to go on the other side of the deck to clear out the dryer vent for me -here he is on top of the snow on our deck. Unreal!

Valentine's Day -awwwwwww!

We spent a weekend at Crabbe Mt. with some of our small group. They got a great day of skiing in. No skiing for Baby Esson though!

The guys got pretty serious about the hockey game up there -you can't tell by their faces can you? :0)

We had another ultrasound this week -everything is going well. I can't believe we're into our 6th month already!!!!! Baby was sleeping during picture time and hardly moved at all!

(If you are wondering, nope, we still don't know!)

Baby Update!

We had our ultrasound a few weeks ago and got the results on Tuesday -the doctor says that everything looks great and healthy. My official due date is June 15th, which they had thought from the beginning anyways. The baby's heart rate has stayed the same since the beginning and the doctor says it's perfect! :0)

And in case you're wondering...we still don't know if it's a boy or a girl. The ultrasound technician wasn't allowed to tell us and we couldn't convince her at all!

We are praising the Lord for a healthy pregnancy so far and pray for it to continue.

Here is an official "bump" picture for those of you who were asking...21 Weeks!!!

Have a great weekend!

Christmas!

We are having a snow day here, so it's the perfect time for me to get caught up on blogging! Sorry it took me so long to get this on here, like I said in the last post, we have been busy since we got home a couple of weeks ago!

This is Matt's "busy" time at work -even though it's seems to have been his "busy" time since he started :0) He is spending long hours at the office and I started a full time position last week. I will be at one school in the morning and then in a different school for the afternoons until the end of Feb. I will continue to do mornings until the end of March. I am working with small groups of kids that need a little extra help. It's been tiring getting used to the hours, but I'm enjoying it and am glad to keep myself occupied over the next few weeks!

Baby Esson is doing well! We have our first ultrasound tomorrow, so we would appreciate your prayers that everything will be healthy and well developed for this point in the pregnancy. A couple of weeks ago when I was at the doctor's office, we were listening to the heartbeat and we could hear the baby kick a couple of times -amazing! I can't feel this little one squirm just yet, but the doctor says it won't be long!

Here are your long awaited pictures of our trip to Iowa for Christmas!

This was our only bad weather on our first day of driving, we were only in this for a few hours and then it was clear the rest of the way there and back!

We stopped in Ohio for a great visit with Angie and Jason

Probably one of Devin's top favorite toys

Christmas is Coming!

To our dear family and friends who have been looking for our Christmas pictures...

They will be up soon!

Matt and I got home a week ago and of course, Esson style, we have been running ever since! I started a new teaching position this week that I will have until the end of March and MFE is keeping Matt at the office late every night.

I am making a deadline to put up new pictures next week. In the meantime, enjoy this one from the "good old dating days"....

Collection Week 2007

We had another successful year here with Operation Christmas Child. We collected over 1400
boxes! I love working with and meeting people from all of the area churches through this ministry. We hope and pray that each of the children receiving these boxes will be blessed and feel God's love for them.

All of the boxes on Wednesday night of collection week -before we got them all packed up!

Our small group again -hard at work!!! What a blessing they are to me!
