Arriving in Dubuque

On our way to Dubuque, we stopped in Grand Rapids, Michigan for two days so Matt could do his most favorite activity (after studying of course!). We spent a day and a half going from used bookstore to used bookstore looking for good deals on Christian books. Matt found some incredible deals -I'll post a picture and give you the total number later on!

When we arrived in Dubuque, we started to celebrate with Angie and Jason and get ready for their upcoming wedding.

All of the bridesmaids headed out for a nice dinner in nearby Galena before Angie's personal shower that night. (I stole a few of these from Angie's blog...check it out on my links!)

On Thursday after a day of preparing flowers and food, we headed out to get our toes and fingernails done -courtesy of Joy Stratman. A great time to relax.

Friday was busy with decorating and then the rehearsal dinner out at the Glock's.

My sweet nephews were very patient waiting to play with Auntie Steph and Uncle Matt. I would ask Andrew when I was heading out the door when we would get to play and stay together the whole day, he would say "When Angie's wedding is over!!!" :0)

Our Trip!

Matt and I are home at last! We have been away for the last 3 weeks on a wonderful vacation seeing family and friends and enjoying time away together!

The first night that we left Miramichi, we met up with my family in St. John and enjoyed going to see the Gaither concert! It was amazing -incredible talent!

One of our favorite bands is "Ernie Haase and Signature Sound". We got to get a picture with them after the concert!

After dropping Grammie Esson off in Fredericton the next morning, Matt and I headed to Ottawa to stay with one of his good friends, Matt Steeves. We had a great time visiting with him and his fiance, Katie.

On Saturday night they took us down to the stadium where the Ottawa Senators were playing game 3 in the Stanley Cup playoffs. We got to sit outside the stadium and watch the game on a big screen with a couple other thousand people. It was so much fun!!!

On Sunday night we headed to Toronto to stay with another good friend of Matt's, Andrew Ross. We had a great visit with him and his fiance, Melanie. We are looking forward to seeing them in September at their wedding!

Small Group Potluck

A couple of months ago our "small" group had grown so big, we decided that we needed to get back into small groups and divided into three new groups. We wanted to still be able to invite new people and continue to grow.

Last night, we all got together for a potluck at our house and had a wonderful time! Here is almost everybody sitting down to eat dinner in our front room. Matt and I had to go and eat in the family room together :0) 3 more people came later for a total of 26 people!

Alberta and BC Bound!

Matt has been travelling alot this past month. In March, he went out to Edmonton for 9 days with his manager from work, Perry. They went out to attend a trade show and had a great time! A couple of weeks ago, Matt went out to Burnaby, BC to attend a pastor's conference with our pastor, Daniel. He had an amazing time there listening to John Piper and J.I. Packer.

Spring, Where are you???

This is what Matt and I woke up to this morning! It snowed all day yesterday and during the night. Can you believe this? We are ready for spring to arrive!

I love my dear little Andrew and Devin! Matt and I can't WAIT to see them in June and do lots of wrestling and playing with "Cars". Being an auntie and an uncle is the best!

Visiting with Dee

Last week, I was able to head over to McAdam for an overnight visit with the Kohler family! We had such a nice time. Dee gave me the BIG tour of her little town :0) and even baby Kohler gave me a "roll around hello". It was a great time. Thanks for your hospitality Scott and Dee and Baby!
